Abstract: Many students tend to delay important study activities and although they desperately want to, they find it hard to break their dysfunctional behavior patterns. Understanding the psychology of procrastination from a cognitive behavioral perspective can help to engage in a discussion about fears, avoidance and other obstacles in the way of success. In this seminar, a short introduction to cognitive-behavioral theory will be presented, and related research with its clinical implications will be discussed with a case study.
